SAFE LAND FOR THE FARMERS
With support from the Abram J. Lyons (RPCV Alliance for Ukraine), partnered with Sustain Ukraine Nonprofit Inc., and ТЕХНО-ПРОЕКТ ДЕМАЙНІНГ to strengthen civilian demining efforts in Ukraine. The grant funded essential field equipment and digital tools that help teams safely map, clear, and document mined agricultural land.
Ukraine is currently the most heavily mined country in the world, with nearly a quarter of its land at risk. Landmines endanger civilians, block farmers from their fields, and threaten food security and economic stability nationwide.
Small, licensed organisations like ТЕХНО-ПРОЕКТ ДЕМАЙНІНГ carry out much of the civilian demining behind the front lines but often operate with minimal resources. This support reduces financial barriers for farmers and enables life-saving, locally led work—helping communities reclaim their land and rebuild, one field at a time.
